ITINERARY
DAY 1: SUNSET VISIT TO A LOCAL FARM (OVERLOOK)/ SEARCH FOR CAIMANS AND CAPYBARAS
In Tambopata, there are various legal economic activities, with tropical agriculture being one of the most important. This morning, we will learn about the seasonal crops that help some families make a living. In the afternoon, we will set out in search of the world’s largest rodents, the capybaras. They are usually found on the riverbanks where the Tambopata National Reserve borders the river, so hunting them is prohibited.
While exploring the river in search of these adorable animals, we might encounter white and black caimans, among other species. But the most captivating part of this program is the sunset. We are fortunate to be located right where the sun dips below the horizon at the end of the day.
DAY 2: SANDOVAL LAKE/ROWING BOAT/NIGHT HIKE
after a Delicious breakfast, we departure at 9:30am from our lodge trip 30 minutes by boat to reach port on the shores of lake Sandoval, where our entry to the lake sandoval in a hike of about 1 hour, through the rainforest. Where we take a canoe paddle to stroll through this beautiful lake here,you will witness the habitad of piranhas and an array of birds and monkey species. If you are luck,you may even spot the endangered giant river otter and the largest alligator. Then we Will have our boxlunch in the lake sandoval after lunch those who wish can swim in the lake Sandoval safely,then return to the lodge .
Night Hike: After settling into our rooms, we will have dinner and take a night hike around our lodge to observe spiders, tarantulas, scorpions, and other insects. This is one of the most anticipated activities for our visitors, as it offers the most beautiful view of the starry night in the rainforest, accompanied by a bonfire and some stories from our Amazon region.
DAY 3: OBSERVATION TOWER/ SUSPENSION BRIDGE/SPORT FISHING
After breakfast, we will take our kayaks from our lodge, along the Madre de Dios River and we will arrive at the center of adventure activities, we will walk for 5 minutes, and then we will ascend by a tower 25 meters high, from there by the suspension bridges, to see the jungle from the top of the trees, as the animals see it, then return to the lodge. Lunch, after a break, We will prepare for repack and back to Puerto Maldonado city from there we can drop you to the bus station or hotel.
